Interview with Krill: I Emailed Krill Some Questions and It Took Krill 3 Days to Reply Back

This is the exact email exchange between me and a band called Krill. Ever heard of 'em?

krill

cool dude: Who do you think you are?
Krill: curdle

Why "Krill"?
Schmuck: i don't even wanna tell you this but aaron (and ian who didn't form current version of krill but is now in it) were in this band in high school called the sea monsters & they broke up and it was a joke like we will be the most minimal diminutive version of that band or something. That was at the end of high school and the name just stuck when we later formed what hayden karbug now knows as krill

One could say you have a very distinct voice. What muppets are your biggest influences?
crill: wanna give you a general "ooh, burn" credit at the outset here.
used to listen to muppets tapes as a wee lad, specifically recalling kermit/piggy/conan obrien's rendition of "she drives me crazy" and "under the boardwalk" and "kokomo

What's it like being the worst band on the label (Exploding in Sound Records)?
krehl: constant feelings of inferiority and failing to measure up. Unending vacillation between arrogant self-love and corrective self-hate. Both are false. Go w god, hayden

Why did it take you a month to email The Fatty Acids back? You are a bad person.
kri11: i am not a bad person*, ultimately. I do get stressed out about returning emails. You're like don rickles up in this

F, Marry, Krill is a new game I created just now. What should the rules be?
crehl: someone should f and then marry krill ~lonely~

Since I Am the Cherry is really your only good song, what was the inspiration for that shit?
kurl: ron and i made it up and it's about having a self and feeling puny. Also we were trying to rip off this amazing forgotten Baltimore band called the art department. (Not the fucking Canadian electro crud w the same name)

A lot of your songs are described as "catchy". What's the reason behind this? Is it witchcraft/ a lil dabbling in the dark arts? Some of us think so.
krjll: what do you mean "is described as" and who is "we" ~~ krill is a private event that exists only in the mind of krill
(notice how Krill tiptoed around answering the actual question)

Upcoming tour plans?
krill krill krill forever: next full us tour is in feb/march, no more details yet. ~business answer~

What's the name of your new shit? I don't feel like looking it up.
brill: Steve Hears Pile in Malden and Bursts Into Tears

Are you afraid of making Pile look bad by associating them with your new stuff because you should be terrified.
bum: nah pile is above human influence

Ever think about going overseas (and staying there)?
kernel: yes i have thought about that before especially when depressed or something but ultimately im just gonna chill

Why not Zoidberg?
kr7ll: "meme culture will be the death of youth culture" ~ krill

One time I was listening to Infinite Power and a deer crossed in front of me on the trail. Then I stepped in dog poo.  Why Lucky Leaves?
khrill: LL was initially a concept album about krill breaking up cuz Luke was leaving for London. Then plans changed and now "krill forever" is no longer the biting ironic painful joke it once was but instead is just what people say at me when we have nothing else in common. Infinite power is about being a teenager and grade-a regret.

Purity of Heart is a stupid song. Please explain.
kettle: I ripped the lyrics from a Kierkegaard book i never finished and then tried to copy fat history month lyrics but am no good. Sorry it sucks.

Send me a promotional pic or I'm using a poo shot
kriiilll: Go w the poo sjot

What is your favorite Vincent D'Onofrio flick?
krxll: I was offended by 'please give' and am soothed but disappointed by his reliable speech patterns in SVU. O he ruled in thumbsucker if I am recalling correctly, where he worked in the supermarket. He's v handsome imho

You idiot he was in Criminal Intent.
krille: Fuc

pop culture is oppressive
